Turn an SOP into a training video

Upload the SOP. Approve the script and each scene against the clause it came from. Export the video or a SCORM package for your LMS.

The steps

  1. Upload the SOP.PDF, Word, Markdown or plain text. One procedure per video works best.
  2. Answer a few questions.Who watches it, and what they must do once it ends.
  3. Pick a look.Whiteboard for one routine, Cartoon for a safety rule, Motion graphics for software and processes.
  4. Approve the script. Each line shows the clause it came from. If the SOP says “at least 20 seconds”, the line says 20 seconds.
  5. Approve each scene. The video is not made until you approve every scene.
  6. Export.MP4, captions, or a SCORM package to upload to your LMS.

When the SOP changes

Circle the frame and say what changed. Leap changes that scene and keeps everything you already approved, so the sign-off you have stays good for the rest.

Why each line needs its clause

A reviewer or an auditor will ask where a step came from. With the clause beside each line, the answer is already on screen. See one lesson checked line by line.
