Evaluating AI for SOP Training Videos
The useful version of AI training generation is not generic course copy. For SOP training, the source document has to remain the anchor so reviewers can check what changed before rollout.
Source grounding matters
The production system should identify procedural steps and decisions from the uploaded document, not create a generic lesson about the topic.
Review remains required
SMEs, Quality, legal, or client reviewers still decide outside Leap whether the generated course is ready for assignment.
Output format changes the buying decision
Leap hands off MP4, VTT, SRT, and transcript files. SCORM remains a separate downstream requirement when an LMS must track completion, score, and time.
What to verify before rollout
- The readable source PDF or pasted text matches the approved source version.
- Narration covers the required steps, limits, roles, product details, terms, or records.
- Captions and transcript match the released Script / VO.
- If assessment or SCORM is added downstream, test that work separately against the source and target LMS.
What Leap does not replace
Leap produces the complete training video. The source owner, designer, SME, Quality reviewer, legal reviewer, client reviewer, or LMS administrator still approves the course outside Leap before learner assignment.
Common buyer questions
Is this a generic course generator?
No. Leap is designed around uploaded source material. The source remains the review anchor.
When is MP4 enough?
MP4 is useful for stakeholder review, internal walkthroughs, or delivery where LMS tracking is not required.
When does SCORM matter?
SCORM matters when the buyer needs an LMS to record completion, score, and time spent. The current Course Studio pilot does not include that adapter.
